Betty Evelyn (Jolliff) Bibbee, age 89, of Running Springs, CA and Burnsville, NC passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, a daughter of the late Earl Jolliff and Helen Margaret Koehn Jolliff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Husband Robert Paul Bibbee, Brothers James Allen and Earl John Jolliff, and Great Grandson Seth Bibbee.
Betty was a faithful wife and loving mother and grandmother. Supportive to her family and friends. Loyal, strong and helpful, a guiding light in a storm we could always depend on her.
Betty moved to San Bernardino, California and lived there most of her life. She was introduced to her husband by her older brother and they eloped in Yuma, Arizona when she was 18. They were married 61 years. She was a graduate of San Bernardino High School in California class of 1953 and enjoyed attending her HS reunions. She maintained her friendships lifelong. She worked and retired as an aircraft assembler for Rohr Industries in Riverside, CA.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Vincent Bibbee and wife Summer; grandchildren, Kalah Bibbee, Cassondra Barnett, Kristen Shaughnessy, Rachel Bibbee Olvera; great grandchildren, Zoey Bibbee, Justin and Alexander Heitz, Chloe and Penelope Barnett, and Leon Shaughnessy; her sisters, Patricia and Margaret; and brother Richard. Heather Walsh and her children Michael and Haley; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service and Interment will be held at a later date at Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington, California.
